Dr Rebecca McKee

Senior ResearcherInstitute for Government

I am a political scientist with an in-depth understanding of representation in the UK parliament and of methods used to engage the public in political decision making. The quality of my research has been recognised by the award of a prize for my PhD thesis and a highly competitive British Academy postdoctoral fellowship.

I have considerable experience in project management, having run several major projects from start to finish, working with NGOs and parliamentary committees. I am committed to translating research into policy, combining rigorous analysis with co-creation of feasible proposals to address some of the big issues of our time. I currently work at the Institute for Government think tank across the Review of the UK Constitution and the Levelling Up work programmes.
